UNAMID starts investigation on Minnawi-faction allegations |

The Joint UN/AU Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) sent an investigation team to Abu Dangal, about 125KM southeast of Nyala to verify allegations by the Sudan Liberation M/A Minnawi-faction of SAF attacks on its locations in the region.
The movement accused the Central Reserve Police which is affiliated to the Government, of launching attacks in the area causing the death of three citizens and the injury of others.
In a press release, UMANID stated that it had found some evidence indicating an attack in the area.
The mission did not imply the involvement of the government forces.
