Sudan Journalists' Union rejects press censorship |

Sudan Journalist's Union announced its rejection of press censorship and insisted on the application of "rule of law.".
The union also insisted that the newspapers' Editors-in-Chief should be held liable and responsible for what they publish in their newspapers.
Meanwhile, the National Council for Press and Publication established a committee to develop the performance of journalists.
The committee includes the membership of National Security and Intelligence Department, Press Council and Journalists' Union, in addition to a number of newspapers' Editors-in-Chief.
The head of the National Security and Intelligence Department, General Salah Gosh, stated in a meeting with the members of committee, that the exceptional censorship procedures are constitutional and acknowledged by the President of the Republic.
Writer and journalist, Faisal Mohamed Saleh highlighted to Miraya FM the importance of this step in solving journalists' problems.
