The British Foreign Minister, David Miliband, said that his country supports the international efforts undertaken in the United Nations Security Council, to postpone a possible indictment of the Sudanese president, Omer Al-Basher, by the international Criminal Court, for another year.
Miliband further added that these international measures will not solve the crisis in Darfur, but it would rather complicate it.
The minister told Sudan News Agency (SUNA), that his country is coordinating with France to come up with a common position aiming to suspend the ICC prosecutions of President Al Bashir for one year in order to allow the Sudanese government to end the crisis in Darfur and achieve peace in the region.
He also pointed out at the same time that this position is not yet materialized.
