Laurent agrees to respect UN's ceasefire request |

The Congolese rebel Chief Gen. Luarent Nkunda has agreed to respect a ceasefire request by the UN peace evnoy to the Congo, former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo.
General Nkunda also said he will open a humanitarian corridor and support peace process in the eastern Congo.
Obasanjo visited Goma the capital of North Kivu province yesterday in an effort to curb the escalating fight and humanitarian crisis in the region.
