SPLA infantry school given lecture on mandate of UNMIS |

A joint team of Military Observers and Civil Affairs officers conducted a one day lecture for the SPLA infantry school in Malou, Lakes state on Friday.
The Lecture was on the mandate of UNMIS with particular reference to chapter 6 and 7 of the UN charter which deals with peacekeeping and peace enforcement.
Presenting a paper on the role of UNMIS and the challenges it faces, UNMIS team site leader in Rumbek, Mr. Seth Kumi said that the mission faces challenges in the disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR) process in the country.
The lecture was conducted in response to a request made by the Commandand of the Infantry school in Malou, Lakes state.
