The United Nations-African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) has also welcomed Government's ceasefire in Darfur announced by president Omer Al Bashir.

The spokesperson of UNAMID, Nour Eddin Al Mazni told Miraya FM that ceasefire requires commitment of all parties.

Earlier, the Justice and Equality movement and Sudan Liberation Movement-Unity faction rejected the ceasefire in Darfur.
