Human Rights Watch has called on the Egyptian government to stop what it called excessive force against refugees who try to illegally enter Israel.
An official in the human rights agency in Cairo, Abdul Rahim Hussein, said in an interview with Miraya FM that both Egypt and Israel violate the international covenant on the protection of refugees.
About thirty African refugees have been shot dead by the Egyptian police in the recent months while trying to cross the border to Israel.
