Egyptian Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources, Mahmoud Abu Zaid said that his country will spend $ 26 million dollars on development projects in southern Sudan.
The move comes after a Memorandum Of Understanding with the Government of South Sudan.
Addressing a summit on the Nile Water in Cairo yesterday, Abu Zaid said the meeting will discuss reduction of water loss in Upper Nile by taking advantage of water surplus from Bahr el Jebel and Bahr el Ghazal rivers.
