The Acting Governor of the Lakes State, Awan Guol Riek, has carried out a reconciliation meeting in Aduel Town of Rumbek East County.

Mr. Riek initiated the meeting in order to reconcile the two tribes of Dhur-Bar and Dhur-Chek of the Rumbek East County.

Speaking to Miraya FM after the meeting, Mr. Riek gave an ultimatum to the chiefs of both tribes to apprehend the culprits who perpetrated the killing of four people last month in the County and bring them to justice.

However, Riek urged the two communities to adopt the policy of coexistence and burry down their grievances for the sake of peace.

Due to defamation songs, last month the tribes of Dhur-Bar and Dhur-Chek fought each other resulting to the death of the four people.
