The governor of South kordofan state Omar Suleiman has disclosed that the group which kidnapped the Chinese oil workers has confessed that it belongs to the Justice and Equality movement.
In a statement to Miraya FM the governor said the security organs have located the area where the hostages are detained.
The governor said negotiations continue with the kidnappers for the release of the Chinese workers but declined to give more details.
Earlier, the field commander of the Justice and Equality Suleiman Sandel told Miraya FM that he has no sufficient information on the demands of the kidnappers, but he assured that the movement has a military presence in the area adding that the government positions in the area are main targets for the movement.
In a related news development a leading member of Al Messenia tribe Abdull Rasoul Al Nur told Miraya FM that a delegation from Al Messeria has just arrived to the area of Al Dibab where the kidnapers and their NINE Chinese hostages are staying.
He added that he is expecting the negotiations with the kidnapers to lead to the release of the hostages.
