Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Sudan, Ashraf Qazi, said that the UN role in Sudan is to help the National Congress Party and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement in implementing the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.

Qazi explained during a lecture delivered at University of Khartoum yesterday, that there are many challenges facing the two partners.

Qazi alsodsaid that Sudan will witness the largest Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration operation, which will start in November, in Blue Nile and South Kordofan States.
