The South Sudan Legislative Assembly has referred reports presented to it by the ministries of Legal Affairs, and of Public Service to a special committee of Public Services for examination.
This follows accusations and counter-accusations made by two ministers, the Minister of Legal Affairs, Mr. Michael Makuei Lueh, and the Minister of Public Services, Mrs. Awut Deng.
Mrs. Awut Deng earlier in her report alleged that the Ministry of Legal Affairs was over paying salaries to its staff, the accusation Makuei Lueh denied on Monday while presenting his ministry’s report. The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Martin Elia Lomoro told the Assembly that the two ministers do not have personal quarrels.
