The United Nations Population Fund says it has trained a total of eighty (80) health personnel in collaboration with the Government of Southern Sudan Ministry of health to support mothers in safe delivery.
The health personnel were from greater Upper Nile states, Bahr El-Ghazal and greater equatorial states.
Speaking to Miraya FM the head of the Fund "Juba office" Dragudi Buwa called upon the government to continue supporting trainings and he said that resources should be mobilized to tackle the maternal mortality rate.
During the one month training in Juba which concluded this week a reproductive health documentation record was launched. The document is to encourage collecting, classifying and keeping all important information on pregnancy.
