Students of Juba University went on strike on Tuesday after a student claimed that she fund a little snake in her food.

The students revolted after that and destroyed some food in the store and damaged cooking utensils.

The Deputy Principal of the Juba University Onesimo Yabang Lo-lujo told Miraya FM that majority of students have been angered by their exams' results this semester and probably that is the real reason for the strike.

He added that the claim of finding a snake in the food is not good enough reason to strike.

Mr. Onesimo Yabang said that the situation is now calm and the University has held a number of meetings in order to solve the problem.
