Salva Kiir appoints SPLM Secretaries to north and south sectors |

The First Vice President, President of the Government of South Sudan and the Chairman of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement Lt. General Salva Kiir Mayardit, issued a Party's order appointing SPLM Secretaries to the Secretariats of the National, Southern and Northern Sectors.
The new Secretaries were appointed after a recommendation by the SPLM Secretary General, Pagan Amum, Deputy Secretary General for Southern Sector, Dr. Ann Itto and Deputy Secretary General for Northern Sector, Yassir Arman, in accordance with the SPLM Constitution of May 2008.
According to the statement issued by the party in Juba, the move aimed to complete building various party structures.
Officials in the party said this development could create a new spirit within the party, months after the Chairman of the party dissolved the party's secretariats following his election as Chairman of the party at the second National SPLM Convention in Juba last May.
