The UN office for the coordination of humanitarian affaires has called for 640 million dollars to render urgent assistance to the 3 million people victims of fighting in Somalia, the worst in a year and half.

Meanwhile, the UNHCR has stated that 700 thousand people fled Mogadishu since last February due to the armed conflicts.
