The United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) has called on the Ugandan Lord's Resistance Army in a statement yesterday to release ninety children abducted by the movement during the last two weeks.
A joint statement by the Special Representative of the Secretary General on Children and Armed Conflict and the Unicef, said that the LRA, attacked three villages in Orientale Province in the seventeenth of September.
The statement added that there are documented cases where children kidnapped by groups have been forced to fight as child soldiers, and where young girls have been raped and used as sex girls.
