Libya has denied the presence of hostages in its territory following reports from Sudan and Egypt.

A source in the Libyan foreign office said investigations and search operations proved that the hostages were not in the Libyan soil.

The source said Libya is astonished to see it's name with the issue of hostages, adding that Libya is not concerned with the abduction and will not negotiate with the abductors.
