UN to provide facilities for demobilization process in Sudan |

The United Nations mission in Sudan regional coordinator David Gressly said on Thursday that disarmament, demobilization and reintegration of ex-combatants in Sudan "requires the two parties (NCP and SPLM) to agree on the common policies and approach towards the process".
During his regular monthly press briefing in Juba Mr. Gressly said that UN is ready to provide technical support and to facilitate the demobilization process in Sudan which includes 180.000 ex-combatants, of both the SAF and SPLA.
Mr. David Greasly announced that in October this year the de-mining activities are going to recommence and that US dollars 40.000 has been earmarked for that activities.
