The UN General Assembly has begun sessions today in New York.
Addressing the opening ceremony, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon said the challenges before the countries of the world are growing and are becoming more complex.
Moon warned against lack of collaboration to face problems of global nature.
Earlier, The Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha called on the African Union Peace and Security Council to present what he called a firm and clear request to the UN Security Council to overcomce the ICC Prosecutor General request for an arrest warrant against President Omer Al Bashir.
He hoped that the UN General Assembly would allow the Peace and Security Council of the African Union to coordinate with all the international and regional organizations in this issue.
In a related development, the Justice and Equality Movement has formed a committee to negotiate with Qatar on its initiative to host the peace talks between the government and Darfur armed factions based on the Arab League initiative to end the Darfur conflict.
The Chairman of the Committee Jibril Ibrahim told Miraya FM that the committee will soon leave to Qatar to explain the Darfur conflict.
He reiterated the movement's rejection to the Arab League interference in the issue saying the League is not a neutral body, as he put it.
