Sudan's Under-Secretary General for Foreign Affairs, Mutrif Siddig has told the media the location of the tourists' kidnappers has been identified.
He added the group is at a no-man's land between Sudan, Egypt and Libya, but said Sudanese authorities will take no action for the safety of the kidnapped.
The official news agency in Egypt reported that the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of up to 15 million US Dollars.
The five Germans, five Italians and one Romanian were seized on Friday along with their Egyptian guides and drivers while camping near the Sudanese border.
