Authority in Wau exerts efforts to fight armed robbery |

The security organs arrested eight young men and two ladies with stolen properties Friday night in Wau town, western Bahr el Ghazal State.
Among the suspects young men is a student from the University of Bahr el Ghazal.
The suspects were found in military uniforms and in possession of several motor bikes, TVs, and about 4,000 Sudanese pounds in addition to different assets.
According to Deputy Governor, Minister for Local Government and Law Enforcement Col. Awad Juma Aman, the security forces are still pursuing the rest members of the gang saying that they will be arrested soon.
Addressing the gathering at Wau Police Station, the Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State gen. Mark Nyipuoch Ubong thanked the security organs for arresting those who were said to be behind the insecurity in Wau town and called on judges to try the arrested as soon as possible.
During the last few months, Wau has witnessed insecurity due to night armed robberies which resulted into imposing night curfew in the town.
