The Ugandan consul general in Juba Busho Ndinyenka confirmed to MirayaFM that Ugandan government is committed to do its part to construct and improve transport network between Uganda and Sudan.
Speaking to Miraya FM Consul Ndinyenka said that it is a joint Uganda-Sudan project that includes construction of railway network from Gulu to Juba and Wau, in the first phase.
Consul Ndinyenka said that in cooperation with the government of Sudan the Joint Transport Commission has been established and the talks are ongoing with Chinese government and other possible partners to implement the project.
The governments of Uganda and Sudan have signed last August the memorandum of understanding to regulate and facilitate construction of roads and railways network between the two countries.
