The Juba Teaching Hospital has been treating so far over (500) patients who suffered various gunshots and landmine injures in southern Sudan since the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, (CPA).
Dr. Dario Kuron Lado, Director General of the Juba Teaching Hospital confirmed to Miraya FM that the hospital is still receiving a high number of patients injured by gunshots or landmines.
He attributed the high rate of injuries to the possession of guns by the citizens in southern Sudan.
Dr.Dario Kuron Lado urged the Government of southern Sudan to exert more efforts in disarming both the civilians and ex-army personnel in order to ensure a safer society.
