Supported by Arab and African countries in the UN Council for Human Rights, Sudan called for the termination of the mandate of body's Rapporteur in Sudan Sima Samar.
The request was forwarded by the Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Justice Abdel Daim Zumrawi, who leads Sudan's delegation to the Human Rights Council meetings in Geneva.
Samar had earlier said in her report on Sudan that the human rights situation in the country is still gloomy.
