The chairperson of the Southern Sudan AIDS commission has said that border areas and big towns in the south have shown high prevalence of HIV/AIDS infections, compared to rural areas in the region.
In an exclusive interview with MirayaFM, the commission's chairperson Dr Bellerio Ahoy explains that increased movement of people in those areas is one of the main reasons for the higher level of the HIV\AIDS infections.
Dr Ahoy mentioned that the Commission had come up with a national strategic framework and policies for combating the HIV/AIDS disease which is due to be l launched soon.
Last week the council of ministers passed a resolution to streamline HIV/AIDS programs in all the ministries and other private and public institutions.
