The Commissioner of Maban County in Upper Nile State John Ivo Montao is appealing to the Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS), NGOs and humanitarian institutions to provide assistance for hundreds of recent flood victims in his County.

Commissioner Ivo Montao said, though some assistance has been provided, more still needs to be done as the situation is getting worst.

Hundreds of citizens of Maban County in Upper Nile State were displaced recently following floods, while similar situation occurred few weeks ago in Longoshok County in Western Upper Nile.
