Hundred displaced in Upper Nile due to floods |

The Commissioner of Maban County in Upper Nile State John Ivo Montao has disclosed that several houses have been destroyed in his County as the result of a recent flood.
In an interview with Miraya FM in Malakal on Thursday, Commissioner Ivo Montao said due to heavy rains two weeks ago, the flood hit Maban County destroying several houses and displaced hundred of citizens.
Commissioner Ivo Montao added that most of the victims, who are seeking refuge in school buildings at the moment, are returnees.
He is therefore appealing for urgent humanitarian assistance for his displaced citizens.
