South Sudan electricity cooperation has introduced prepaid electricity meters in Juba so that citizens can pay their bills and control the power consumption.
The Electricity corporation engineer Arier Isaac said to MirayaFM that new system of payment provides each user with a card that can be recharged by the supplier.
Installation of the new prepaid electricity meters commenced last Monday in Juba with priority given to business persons.
At the moment, over seven hundred (700) electricity meters are available to be distributed to citizens and more are expected to be imported soon from China.
