Northern State arrests number of anti-Kajbar protesters |

Authorities in Abri area in the Northern State have arrested yesterday a number of anti-Kajbar Dam protestors.
The incident occurred while the Northern State Governor Adel Awad was addressing a mass rally in Sai Island, confirming the government's commitment not to back down from its plan to construct the Kajbar and Dal Dams.
Speaking to Miraya FM, the Chairman of the Anti-Kajbar Committee Abdel Fattah Zaidan criticized the State's government for halting dialogue over the Dams with citizens, and called to either bring the detainees to trial or release them.
