The Government of Western Bahr el-Ghazal State has issued an order annexing the University of El Quran el Karim to the University of Bahr el-Ghazal.

The Governor of the State, Lt. General Mark Nyipuoch Ubong today told Miraya FM that he signed into order the annexation of the buildings originally belonged to the State.

Director of the University of Bahr el-Ghazal Wau Campus, Stephen Gum Mangok, said that the premises are the property of Bahr el-Ghazal University since 1995 but were being used by other institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education as his university had no problem of space at the time.

Officer in Charge of the University of El Quran El Karim, Wusham Bela Abdelqadir on his part said that he does not know about the new order to annex the University of El Quran el Karim and denied that the premises belonged to the University of Bahr         el-Ghazal.
