The South African government, in partnership with international humanitarian organizations, has contributed 40 tons of non-food items for the displaced people of Abyei.
The items comprise mosquito's nets, tents, blankets and medicines.
Thousands of civilians fled the Abyei area following an eruption of violence between the Sudan Armed forces and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement last May.
