The 22 member delegation of Southern Sudan Women Empowerment Network, SSWEN, arrived in Juba from United State of America on Thursday.

Upon arrival, the SSWEN director of information Lilly Akol said the purpose of the visit to Juba is to hold the organization’s second convention.

The delegation is expected to join Juba women in a silent march to the office of the President of the Government of South Sudan with the request that Sudan should speed up the process of signing the international Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women.

Southern Sudan Women Empowerment Network was founded by South Sudanese women in the USA in 2005 and is dealing with women rights of South Sudan.
