Students in Wau protest against teachers' salaries deduction |

Students in Wau Town of the Western Bahr el Ghazal Sate protested today against huge deduction in their teachers' monthly salaries.
However, the police managed to control the protest.
Increased cuts of teachers' monthly salaries from 20% to 40% triggered the protest by the Muftah basic School students leading to closure of most schools in wau town.
Speaking to miraya fm the minister of education in western bahr el ghazal State col. Valentine yak kon said that the problem of teachers' salaries has reached the Southern Sudan Ministry of education in juba.
Mr. Kon said that final solutions are expected soon.
