Students from the Western Equatoria State schools in Juba, which were closed last week due to lack of payment of teachers salaries, have appealed to the State to pay the salaries so that they can resume studies.
The students are worried that examinations are approaching within six months, yet there are no signs that the schools are re-opening.
Maridi, Yambio, and Lui Girls Secondary Schools were closed last Monday by the State Minister of Education pending payment of teacher’s salaries.
