Tuesday, 29 July 2008
Two men claiming to be Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) soldiers handed themselves over to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Juba yesterday.

The two said they escaped from the Sudan-Congo border to seek protection.

The Assistant Representative of the Commission in Juba, Geoff Wordley said that UN security is interrogating the men.

The two men told Miraya FM that the situation faced by LRA fighters in the Sudanese-Congolese border is terrible.
