Sudan does not expel UPDF, Kiir says |

The First Vice President of the Republic and president of the government of South Sudan Salva Kiir told the Ugandan New Vision newspaper that South Sudan did not expel the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) from its territory.
The Southern President Salva Kiir said that the UPDF is in the South under an agreement between Khartoum and the Kampala, signed prior to the formation of the Government of Southern Sudan.
He emphasized that government of Southern Sudan respects the agreement.
Last month, the Vice President of the government of South Sudan Dr. Riek Machar ordered the UPDF to leave south Sudan territory following its attacks in Pergeri which killed on civilian.
