The Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly summoned the Minister of Labor, Public Service and Human Resource Development in the government of southern Sudan, Awut Deng, to explain how the unified salary structure of the government's employees has been implemented.
The Public Civil Service Commission meanwhile said that it will raise its recommendation on the employment of Southern Sudanese as undersecretaries, directors, and employees in the government of national unity to the Federal Ministry of Labor.
SUNA reported that the head of the Commission, Professor Moses Machar, said that the Commission has completed interviewing applicants for the Public Sector in Juba.
Professor Machar said that the Commission will continue interviewing the Southern Sudanese including the returnees for the 20% of employment for southerners in the Public Sector as specified in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.
