The NGO "International Conference Team" commenced Monday a four-day conference in Juba aimed at discussing implementation of pending issues related to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).

Speaking during the meeting, the Vice President of the Government of Southern Sudan D.r Riek Machar, said the conference will discuss wide range of issues related to implementation of power sharing at the national level in Sudan as well as conflict resolution management in general.

As an example of conflict resolution management, Dr. Machar illustrated the way government officials are dealing with the Abyei issue.

The International conference team is a German non-governmental organization dealing with conflict resolution management issues and this project in Southern Sudan is supported by United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
