The Speaker of the Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly, James Wani Igga, denied that the southern Sudan Authorities detained General Mobuto Mamur on an attempt of a coup.
Speaking to Miraya FM, Mr. Igga said that the current investigations on General Mamur are based on corruptions charges. Igga said that the detention of General Mamur is not politicized.
He said that General Mamur will be freed if affirmed not guilty and will be brought to trail if not. General Mamur has been arrested since last year by the Southern Sudan Security Authorities and is still under investigations.
