The Congolese President Danis Sassou Nguesso is expected to arrive today in the Chadian capital N’Djamena for talks with President Idriss Deby.
President Nguesso is expected to offer his mediation request to President Deby.
President Omer Al-Bashir earlier welcomed the mediation of the Congolese President to ease the tension between Khartoum and N’Djamena.
Speaking in a joint press conference with the Congolese President who concluded his visit to Sudan, President Bashir said that the normalization of relations between Khartoum and N’Djamena is based on non-support of the Darfur rebels.
