The National Congress Party celebrates today the 19th anniversary of its assumption of power in Khartoum in 1989.
Leaders in the party told Miraya FM that the regime has realized all its goals.
A leading member in the party, Ahmed Salih Saloha, named security, oil and education, as key achievements.
However, retired Brigadier Abdul-Aziz Khalid, the Chairman of the Sudanese Alliance, said that the regime was not a revolution but a military coup that failed at everything. He said that it led the country to a state of splits and divisions, as he put it.
