Save the Children Alliance Office has opened in Juba.

The alliance comprises Save the Children Fund of the United States of America, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Country director of the organization in Sweden, Mr. Mitto Watson, said merging the three agencies will facilitate effective delivery of services.

Mr. Watson said that children in South Sudan lack adequate learning space and clean drinking water.

Some Save the Children officials said child abuse which includes enrolment into armed forces is still high in Sudan.
