UNAMID member abducted by unknown armed, UNAMID's spokesperson says |

The spokesperson of the UN African Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) in Darfur Nureddine Al-Mazini revealed that one of its staff members was abducted by unknown armed men near the mission’s camp at Al-Geneina in west Darfur is released.
In an exclusive interview with MIraya FM, Al-Mazni said that a member of the Sudan National Security intervened and helped in releasing the abducted official.
Almazini added that UNAMID soldiers did not exchange fire in to avoid further aggravation of the situation and in consideration of the lives of the civilian population in that area.
