A Sudanese detained in Guantanamo requested to contact his family in Sudan to find a lawyer for his case because the US army lawyer is refusing to defend him.
The detainee Ibrahim Al-Gussy is facing a number of charges related to alleged cooperation with the leader of Al Qaeda Osama Bin Laden.
The US also accused Al-Qussy of fleeing together with his family to Torabora Mountains in Afghanistan in the aftermath of the US invasion in the country.
Mr. Al-Qussy said he was not willing to have any military lawyer or civilian appointed by the US department of defense to defend him on charges of funding terror and involvement in a conspiracy.
Al-Qussy is considered as one of the ten prisoners accused before a system of military court established by the Administration of President Bush to try the Guantanamo detainees outside the US judicial system.
