Thousands of foreigners fled South Africa after xenophobic violence which led to the killing of 42 people.
A boarder gate coordinator in Mozambique said yesterday that Thousands of Mozambicans crossed the border to Mozambique on Thursday.
He added that about the same number crossed the border on Wednesday.
An official source in South Africa said thousands of Zimbabwean returned to their country last week fleeing the violence.
Thousands of foreigners many from the African countries are stationed in police compounds in South Africa for safety.
The government in South Africa called in the army to assist the police to end the violence.
