The Senior Assistant to the President of the Republic and Leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM), Minni Arco Minnawi, reiterated his condemnation of  the recent attacks in Omdruman by the Justice and Equality Movement. Speaking to Miraya FM, Mr. Minnawi said that such attacks are causing panic in the city. Mr. Minnawi called on the government and the Justice and Equality Movement to sit and negotiate to find a solution to the Darfur crisis.

Minnawi warned of any procedures which includes arrests after the attacks.  He said that such procedures should not be based on tribal basis.
