Expected meeting with LRA and Peace mediators, LRA sources say PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 08 May 2008
Sources from the Lords Resistance Army (LRA) told the Reuters News Agency that the LRA leader Joseph Kony will meet the mediators of the peace talks on the tenth of this month at the Sudan-Congo border.

The LRA Chief Negotiator, James Obita, said that despite the participation of Kony in the talks, the movement’s leader still wants more explanation on how the Uganda’s government plans to use the traditional reconciliation rituals to help him avoid the prosecution for war crimes by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
