Civil Aviation denies permitting foreign airlines operating in the south |

The Civil Aviation Corporation explained that the committee which it formed to determine the circumstances of the plane crash in southern Sudan is not an investigation committee.
The Civil Aviation Corporation had criticized in a statement the air navigation procedures established in southern Sudan, and denied permitting foreign airlines operating there.
The spokesman for the corporation Abdel-Hafiz Abdul Rahim told Miraya FM that the committee, under the international laws, will visit southern Sudan to know the technical reasons that led to the crash, pointing out that it has a mandate from the Council of Ministers.
For its part, the Government of South Sudan announced that the investigation committee formed to probe the plane crash will start functioning immediately as soon as it is formed.
The Minister of Presidential Affairs in the Government of South Dr. Luka Biong told Miraya FM that the committee will thoroughly investigate into all the circumstances that lead to the plane crash. He added that it will submit the final results to the President of the Government of the South.
On the other hand, SPLM assured that the General Conference of the movement will be held on the date specified this month and will not be delayed because of the accident. Miraya FM that the President of the movement directed the resumption of the SPLM conferences in the regions, without being affected by the mourning declared, pointing out that all preparations had been completed for the start of the conference as scheduled.
