Armed men attack Somali military base south of Mogadishu |

Six Somali soldiers including a colonel, were killed when armed men attacked the Somali military base south of the capital Mogadishu.
Meanwhile, the Islamic courts insurgents took control of the provincial town of Jowhar.
An Army Officer said that the attackers sled a number of soldiers while eye witnesses said that a woman was killed and four other civilians were injured.
